Pushya Masam 2016-2017 in Telugu Calendar of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana

Pushya Masam or Pushya month is the tenth month in traditional Telugu calendar followed in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. In 2016-2017, Pushya masam begins on December 30, 2016 and ends on 27 January 2017.

The same calendar is followed in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, and Gujarat. Pushya masam is considered as inauspicious month for some sorts of rituals like marriages, griha pravesh, engagements, etc. but is well-known for its spiritual importance.

Shukla Paksham in Pushya masam 2016-17 starts on December 30 and ends on January 12, 2017.

Krishna paksham in Pushya masam 2016-17 begins on 13 January and ends on 27 January.

Bhogi, Sankranti, Pushya Navaratri or Shakambari Navaratri, Kanuma, Mukkanuma, Thyagaraja Aradhana, and Shadthila Ekadashi are the important festivals in Pushya masam in Telugu Calendar. Next month in Telugu Panchangam is Magha masam.

In 2013, Pushya masam was from January 11 to February 10. Pushya masam 2011-2012 was from 25 December 2011 to January 23, 2012.
