  4. Waking up before sunrise (during Brahmamuhrata) have a bath and put on fresh clothes. Then offer Arati to Lord Vishnu with ghee lamp, incense sticks, flowers and Tulsi leaves. Recite Purusha Suktam and other prayers dear to Lord Vishnu. You can also do Abhishek of Shaligram Shila with cow milk and drink it as Prasad.

On Ekadashi, eating food grains is prohibited so you can prepare fruit salad, halva or any other eatable which can taken during fasting. Onion, Garlic, buffalo milk, hing, etc should be avoided. Reciting Sri Vishnu Sahasranam and chanting names of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna on Japa Mala is considered excellent on Ekadashis. You can also visit Vishnu temples and offer lotus flowers to Sri Hari.

Donating rice, dal, cow milk, fruits, sweets, flour and other food grains to Brahmins is very good on this day. Don’t forget to study Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagvatam on Ekadashi since they are very dear to Lord Hari and so are they who read these scriptures regularly. Hare Krishna :)
