Nirjala Ekadasi is observed with utmost fervor and devotion in Varanasi (Kashi). It is one of the strict Ekadasi fasting vratas as devotees accomplish the fasting without even consuming water.
This year, Nirjala Ekadasi is observed on 31 May 2023. Devotees visit Kashi Vishwanath temple on this day and offer holy waters from all over India.
This year devotees brought the holy waters from Chitrakoot Dham of Uttar Pradesh and river Bagmati of Nepal.
