Nanda Vrata, Nanda Saptami Vrata

Nanda Vrata (Nanda Saptami Vrata) is an auspicious day and vratha observed on Shukla Paksha Saptami in Phalguna Month among some communities in North India. In 2104, Nanda Vrata date is March 7. It is also observed as Kamada Saptami Vratham.

Nanda Vrat is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Shiva Pujan is observed on this day to please Lord Shiva. Those who perform Nanda Vrat will get rid of all sorrows and will attain eternal happiness.

The importance (mahatmya) or the significance of Nanda vrata is not widely mentioned in any scripture. Vrata Vidhi or pooja procedure is also explained in any ancient book.
