Mumbai Cha Maharaja 2019 1
Mumbai Cha Maharaja 2021 is a Ganesh Mandal of Khetwadi 11th Lane Ganpati (Khetwadi 11th Galli Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal) in Girgaon, Mumbai. In 2021, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations start on September 10 and end on September 19 with Ananta Chaturdashi.
In 2021, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations begins on September 10 with Ganesh Chaturthi Pratham Pooja and ends with Udwasan Poojan on Anant Chaturdashi (Ganpati Visarjan) – September 19. Aagman Sohala of Mumbaicha Maharaja is celebrated in August.
The Mandal was established in the year 1962 , with the inspiration and teaches of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Lokmanya Tilak. Mandal’s main aim was to create unity and happiness among the people. At that time, Mandal’s founderr were Shri.Manzrekar Bandhu, Shri.Prabhakar Katker, Shri. Madhav Parmekerand more.
They spent Day and Night in the Mandap for the work ship of “MUMBAI CHA MAHARAJA”.
In the starting days Mandal made small idol of Ganesh. In the year 1965 First Big idol of Ganesh Mandal was made which was 10 feet. Year by year Ganesh idol went on becoming bigger and bigger. In the year 1986, which was 25th year for Mandal, idol of Ganesh sized very big which was about 25 feet.
The karyakartas started to display Moving Stateau Act (Chal-Chitra) in the Mandap premises. They are still working with new generation and utilizing their experience and talent. Year by year everytime they think of making different kinds of idol of Ganesh with size variation of 30 to 35 feet high. Mandal made the highest idol of Ganesh which was 42 feet high in the form of Vishnu Avtar in the year 2001. From the year of 2005, the new generation takes charge of Mandal.
Now-a-days, new generation are willing to view moving stateau act (Chal-Chitra) with Electronic Special Effects.
