Korukonda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in East Godavari district is one of the ancient temples in India. It is the most famous Vaishnava Divya Kshetram, prominent temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu avataram. There are two Narasimha temples in Korukonda – Swavambhuvu temple and Pratishitha temple. The main temple (Swayambhu temple) is at the height of 120 meters. The temple is located about 60 km from Kakinada and 20 km from Rajahmundry.

As per the Shila Shasanams (Scripted stones), Korukonda Narasimha swamy Temple was constructed about 800 years ago (approximately in 13th century).

The main temple festival, Korukonda Narasimha Swami theertham (Swami vari kalyanotsavam) is held in Phalguna month (Phalguna Shudda Ekadashi) (4 March 2012).

Ugadi, Sri Ramanuja swamy Thiru nakshatram in May, Sri Krishnashtami, Durga Saran Navaratri, Dhanurmas puja, Mukkoti Ekadasi, etc. are the major festivals celebrated with utmost gaiety in Korukonda Narasimha Swamy.
