Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple is located in Kanipakam village near Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
Brahmotsavam is the famous festival of Kanipakam Temple. It begins on Ganesh Chaturthi (Vinayaka Chavithi) and lasts for 21 days.
Gramotsavam, Hamsa Vahanam, Peacock Vahanam, Mooshika Vahanam, Shesha Vahanam, Vrishabha Vahanam, Gajavahanam, Rathotsavam, Thiru Kalyanam and Vadayathu Utsavam are the highlights of Kanipakam Brahmotsavam festival.
During Brahmotsavam, Ganesh idol is taken out in procession on various ‘vahanams’ (carriages). Thousands of devotees witness the festivities of Brahmotsavam in Ganesh temple with utmost devotion.
There is a rare tradition to worship the Lord with various puja items each day in the event. Devotees from surrounding villages of Kanipakam throng the temple and offer special pujas to the presiding deity. They offer Abhishekam to Ganesha with water of their villages’ wells and lakes.
