Kajari Teej is observed on third day after Shravan Purnima i.e. Krishna Paksha Tritiya in Bhadrapada month as per North Indian calendars. In 2021, Kajari Teej date is August 25.
On this day women perform Sri Krishna Puja and neem pooja. This is the biggest of all three Teej festivals celebrated in the North.
Kajari Teej is the festival celebrated to welcome monsoon season in grand manner. It is celebrated with utmost enthusiasm in Bundi of Rajasthan, and towns of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Kajari Teej fairs are held for 2 – 3 days in most of the places in Rajasthan.
In some places of North India, Kajari Teej Vrat is held for 15 days, starting with Hariyali Teej.
