Kaisika Ekadashi is an Ekadashi vrata observed with utmost devotion. It falls on Shukla Paksha Ekadashi in Kartika Masam as per Telugu calendar. In 2016, Kaisika Ekadashi date is November 11.

The Kaisika Ekadasi Vrata Katha (Legend, story) is mentioned in Sri Varaha Purana as a conversation between Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The story is associated with a Chandala known as ‘Nampaduvan’ who lived at Thirunelveli in Tamil Nadu.
