Jitiya Puja Paaran Time on 27 September 2013

It is observed on eighth day in Krishna Paksha of Ashwin month in North Indian Hindi calendar. Jitiya is observed by mothers for wellness of their sons. They keep fast throughout the day. Bihari women feel that that every woman has to perform the vrata for happiness and prosperity of the family.

Jivatputrika puja is a Nirjala Vrata as the devotees observe very strict fast and they abstain even from water. Jitiya is commenced for three days.

The first day, the day before Jivatputrika, is known as ‘Nahai-Khai. On that day women take the first morsel only after having their bath.

The second day of Jivatputrika is dedicated to fast and day is known as Khur Jitiya. The third day is for Paaran. Devotees confirm the exact Paaran time from local Pandits or Brahmins. In 2013, Jitiya Vrat Paaran Time is 9.33 PM on 27 September.

It is the duty of others to take care and keep them happy and fulfill their desires not only today but all the time and remember their effort in keeping the Nirjal Vrath for the well being of the family.

  2. CAN JIVIT PUTRIKA VRAT BE STARTED FOR FIRST TIME DUIRING MAL MASH OR ADHIK MASH AS IT IS THIS YEAR. PLEASE ADVICE.
