Bala Chandran: Please note that Thai to Aani is Utharayanam and Aadi to Margazhi is Dhakshinayam. So the author is correct to state Uhtarayanam is auspicious for marriages etc, as it is from Thai to Aani. Aadi is good only for activities related to farming, praying, pooja etc. Not for any “worldly pleasure” activities such as buying stuff, marriage, consumation etc.
