Hanumath Vratham in Margashirsha Masam

Hanumath Vratham, also known as Hanuman Vratam or Hanumad Vratha, is a popular vratham dedicated to Lord Hanuman. In 2017, Hanuman vratham date is December 1.

It is observed on Traydashi in Shukla Paksha of Margashira month especially in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and some other parts of South India.  It is performed by devotees for their good health and prosperity of family members.

Hanumad Vratham is observed with utmost devotion in Hanuman temples of South India. It is the third day of Panchaka vratham in Margashirsha masam (Margashira Panchak vrat begins on Vaikunta Ekadashi and ends on Margashirsha Purnima).

Lord Hanuman is worshipped with Shodashopachara Puja (16 steps of Puja) and offered special naivedyam.
