Gobind Dwadashi or Nrusingha Dwadasi on 17 March 2011

Gobind Dwadasi (Govinda Dwadasi), also known as Nrusingha Dwadashi (Narasimha Dwadasi), is an auspicious day worship Lord Vishnu and his divine incarnations, mainly Lord Narasimha swami. In 2011, Govind Dwadashi date is 17 March, Thursday (today). It is observed with utmost gaiety in Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple, Puri Jagannath Temple, Mayapur Sri Krishna Temple, and all Narasimha swamy temples.

Huge number of devotees performs Punya Snana (holy dip) in Puri beach and visit Puri Jagannath Temple. Phalgun Maasa Theppotsavam is celebrated in Tirumala Tirupati Venkateshwara swamy Temple on Govinda Dwadashi day.

Narasimha Swamy Temples in Bidar (Karnataka), Ahobilam, Yadagirigutta, Simhachalam, Korukonda, Antharvedi (Andhra Pradesh) attracts thousands of devotees during Narasimha Dwadasi festival.
