It is our paramount duty to try and maintain the balance of nature. Our Sages have laid down certain rules and regulations which our forefathers adhered to and kept passing them on from generation to generation. Unfortunately, the legacy has died down due to changing circumstances, ignorance, lack of consciousness or simply due to lethargy and we have upset the fine balance of the environment created by Almighty. Our own deeds are now driving us towards destruction.

It is our good fortune that some enlightened environmental scientists have realized the looming catastrophe and have studied in great details all materials that can harm the ecosystem and have appealed to public at large to avoid use of such materials. We can already see the positive impact his effort has had on the environment.

Use of Idols made of “Shadu” instead of Plaster Of Paris (POP), is highly appreciated. This is because “Shadu” Idols are easily immersed in the sea, ponds and running water bodies.

During Ganeshotsav Idols are brought into homes and in public places which are then worshipped very piously with various rituals and procedures. Idols thus worshipped are energized with Ganesh Energy. Our Religious scriptures prescribe immersion of Ganesh Idols in natural running water bodies This is similar to cremation of a lifeless body of a human being. The Ganesh energy thus released in to the water body benefits all and is therefore is very close to the heart of every Hindu.
