Ganesha idol Immersion Ponds at Uppal Nalla Cheruvu

Ganesha idol Immersion Ponds at Uppal Nalla Cheruvu, Hyderabad. The Mayor of GHMC, B Rammohan on 11 July 2017 laid the foundation stone for a baby pond to be used for immersion of Ganesh idols at Nalla Cheruvu in Uppal Circle. The pond is to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore.

The GHMC has taken up construction of mini-ponds last year and ten ponds were sanctioned at a cost of Rs 6.95 crores to be taken up in the first phase. Of these, nine ponds were already completed and the work on one more pond was in progress, according to a press release.

Mayor said 20 mini ponds have been proposed in the second phase at an estimated cost of Rs 21.11 crores.
