Prabhodini (Vishnu Prabhodanotsav) marks the end of Chaturmas Vrat. On this day Lord Vishnu wakes up from his 4-months Yoganidra (cosmic sleep). It falls in Shukla Paksha of Kartik month as per all lunar calendars followed in North India, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka.
Vishnu Panchak Vrat is observed during Prabhodini Ekadasi. This Ekadasi is also known as Kartik Ekadasi. Pandharpur Palki Yatra is observed on this day in Pandhapur Vithoba Temple, Maharashtra.

Utpatti Ekadasi (Utpanna Ekadasi) falls in Krishna Paksha of Karthik maas in Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu & Kannada calendars. It coincides with Krishna Paksha of Margashirsh month as per North Indian Hindi calendars. Alandi Yatra is celebrated on Utpatti Ekadasi in Alandi, Maharashtra. Alandi is holy place at where Sant Dnyaneshwar Samadhi was built. Utpatti Ekadasi is observed as Thriprayar Ekadasi in Thriprayar Sri Rama Temple in Kerala.
