Sundarakanda is one of the popular parts in Ramayana and also known as the most beautiful part. Sundarakanda explains the series of incidents occurred from sea crossing of Lord Hanuman (Sagara Langhanam), watching Sita in Ashoka vana (Janaki Darshanam), informing her about Lord Rama (Rama kshema nivedana), to setting fire to Lanka (Lankapuri pradahanam). Sundarakanda is a big text and to simplify it Eka Shloki Sundarakanda is compiled. It enables devotees to read and recite Sundarakanda very precisely in a single shloka (verse).
