Durva Ganapati Poojan (Durva Ganapati Vrata, Durva Ganesh Chaturthi) is vrata dedicated to Lord Ganapati. In 2016, Durva Ganapati Vrata date is August 6.
It is observed on Chaturthi day of Shukla Paksha (bright half) in Shravan month in Maharashtra, some parts of Karnataka, and Gujarat. ‘Durva’ means a type of grass blades used to worship Lord Ganesha.
