Durga Bilva Patra Puja: Durga Puja with Bilva Patra or Bel leaves

Durga Bilva patra puja is one of the most offered pujas to Goddess Durga. In many temples and houses, Durga puja is performed by using bilva patra for abhishekam and archana. Those who perform bilva patra puja to Goddess Durga will be blessed with eternal happiness and bliss.

‘Beejakshara thrayam’ is written on bilva patra with chandan. While offering the bilva patra to the Goddess, Durga Sahasranama stotram or other stotras of Goddess Durga are chanted. Bilva Patra puja gives ‘Manuthvam’ (Moksha or salvation) to devotees.

Performing Durga Bilva puja during the period of Durga Navaratri or Durga Puja is more auspicious and highly meritorious.
