According to my understanding, Deepawali Pujan should be done when Amavasya tithi is prevailing and during the Pradosh Kal. This then should be performed Monday, November 12, 2012 after 17:43:43 in most of places of US west coast. This is what is being recommended by the Bangalore-based drikpanchang.com also. However, Pandit Shastriji’s mypanchang.com calender shows it on the next day, i.e. Tuesday, November 13 when Amavasya tithi is Not prevailing during the Pradosh Kal. Can anyone else who is expert in this science provide guidance and remove this serious confusion from our community? Thanks
