Dhanurmasam Pooja at Yadagirigutta Temple

Dhanurmasam Pooja is one of the popular rituals at Yadagirigutta Temple dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. In 2016-2017, Dhanurmasam begins on 16 December 2016 and ends on 14 January 2017.

In this month-long celebrations, Vaikunta Ekadashi and Adhyayanotsavalu are the popular rituals. It is a tradition for Vaishnava Temples to conduct Dhanurmasa Utsavalu throughout the month. The utsavams, starts in the early morning on each day from December 16 to January 14.

Goddess Lakshmi is decorated in the form of Godadevi and worshipped by reciting Thiruppavai.

On 8 January 2017 Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam (Uttara Dwara Darshanam) is allowed for common devotees on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadashi.
