What is Dakshinavarta Shankham? What is procedure of Dakshinavarti Shankh Puja? Dakshnivartha Shankham or Dakshinavarti Shakha are the sea shells which open towards right side.
Dakshinavarti Shankh is considered as the symbol of Goddess Lakshmi and worshipped at homes, offices, shops, etc. Dakshinavarta Shankh puja is considered auspicious and meritorious to obtain endless health, prosperity, and happiness. It is also known as the symbol of Lakshmi and Vishnu. Here is a simple method of Dakshinavarthi shankham puja:
Shankha puja is started on Thursday. Performing puja on everyday is highly meritorious.
First, place the shankh in a bowl and offer Panchamrita abhisheka and install it with red cloth.
Chant the below mantra for 11 times.
“Om hreem kleem Sridharakarasthaya payonidhi jaathaya Sri dakshinavarta shankhaya hreem kleem srikaraya pujyaya namaha”
After the Shankha puja give dakshina to the Brahmin and offer food to him.
Place a silver piece before Shankh and keep the shankham at puja place.
Pour water daily in dakshinavarti shankha and remove the water of previous day.
Akshaya Tritiya, Diwali, and Falgun Purnima are the best days to start Dakshinavarti Shankha puja.
