Chilkur Balaji Temple Brahmotsavams 2015 begins on March 30, Monday. The Brahmotsavalu concludes on April 5.
Chilkur Balaji Temple, also popular as Visa God and Telangana Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, has one of its kind of rituals and celebrations. Chilkur Brahmotsavams are held in Chaitra Masam in Telugu calendar – from Chaitra Shukla Dashami to Chaitra Krishna Padyami, a day following Chaitra Purnima.
Chilkur Balaji Temple committee is very busy in arrangements for Brahmotsavams. It is estimated that more than 2 lakh devotees will attend the divine event to get the blessings of the Lord.
In Brahmotsavams, Kalyanotsavam of Balaji with Sridevi and Bhudevi, and Rathotsavam (Chariot festival) are the major celebrations.
For this year’s Brahmotsavams, the water tank in front of the temple is getting modernized.
