2 October 2016 is Chandra Darshan in Navratri (Ashwin Month Chandra Darshan).

It falls in Ashwin Month (Ashwayuja Masam) as per all the calendar followed in North India, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. And it falls in Purattasi Masam of Tamil calendar, Kanni Month of Malayalam calendar and Aashin Month of Bengali Panjika and Ashoj Month in Nepali calendar.

The Chandra Darshanam of October 2016 is even more auspicious as it falls on the Dwitiya Navratri day of Navratri Durga Puja.
