Book TTD’s Kalyana Mandapams Online From June 1, 2014….
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is all set to introduce online booking of its Kalyana Mandapams (marriage halls) located in Tirupati, Tirumala and elsewhere in the country from June 1.
A customised software has been designed for the purpose. Data relating to the halls and the facilities available can also be checked online. An account number will be announced into which people, who want to book the halls for weddings and other ceremonies, will have to deposit a certain amount of fees which will be decided soon.
After booking the venue and depositing the fees, customers should also pay a caution deposit. They can obtain manual help from the local staff of the marriage halls, if need be.
The TTD move comes in the wake of ever-rising demand for its marriage halls. They are popular not only because of their obvious sanctity but also their low rates. Besides, the TTD adheres to all safety norms and provides facilities on a par with any other high-end private marriage halls.
Currently, booking a TTD Kalyana Mandapam is a bit difficult as the TTD accepts such requests only in Tirupati, that too if only made in person.
“The rules and regulations are the same. We included some other rules like dos and don’ts,” TTD joint executive officer (Tirupati) P Bhaskar said.
For instance, if the venue is booked for a wedding, photos of the bride, groom and their parents as well as wedding invitations will have to be submitted to the TTD authorities well in advance.
