Bhadrapad Month (Bhadra Mahina, Bhadrapada Masam), is the 6th month of Hindu calendar followed in North India, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In 2016, Bhadrapada month begins on August 19 and ends on September 16 as per North Indian Hindu calendars.
According to Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu and Kannada Panchangam, Bhadrapada masa begins on September 2 and ends on September 30. In these calendars, Bhadrapada Month ends with Mahalaya Amavasya (Pithru Amavasya).
Bhadra month is also called as Bhadon month as per Nanakshahi Sikh calendar.
