Bhadrachalam Sri Seeta Ramachandra Swamy Brahmotsavalu 2010 – Bhadrachalam Temple Annual Brahmotsavam

Bhadrachalam Sri Seeta Ramachandra Swamy Brahmotsavalu will begin from March 16 in 2010. The annual brahmotsavam at Bhadrachalam temple will be last for 15 days and ends on Chaitra Pournami day. The festivities begin on Ugadi day with Vepapuvvu Naivedyam (offering of Neem flowers) to the Lord.

The temple town Bhadrachalam has geared up for its 15-day annual festivities, `Sri Seeta Ramachandra Swamy Brahmotsavalu scheduled to begin on the day of Ugadi festival on March 16.

Special pujas and rituals will be held on the first day of Brahmotsavams apart from offering specially prepared Vepapuvvu Naivedyam to the presiding deities.

In the evening, the priests will conduct abhishekham and Panchanga Shravanam marking the onset of the New Year as per Telugu almanac.

As part of the festivities, Ankurarohanam will be conducted on March 20 while Agnipratishta and Dwajarohanam are scheduled to be held on March 22.

Edurkolu and its related programmes will be conducted on March 23 while celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama and his consort Sita will be held between 10:30 a.m and 12:30 p.m at the Mithila Stadium on March 24.

The authorities have made all the arrangements that around 20,000 people can witness the celestial wedding sitting inside the stadium while 20,000 people can watch it through TV screens placed on the stadium premises. After Lord Sri Ramas pattabhishekam and rathotsavam on March 25, teppotsavam, churnotsavam, Ujjavautsavam and Vasanthotsavam will be held.

Revenue, Endowment and Police departments are supervising the arrangements to ensure that devotees do not face problems during the festivities.
