Ashtami or Astami is the eighth day in each fortnight of every Hindu month. Here are Ashtami 2012 dates and their significance.

Ashtami is considered inauspicious as per some Hindu calendars but it is spiritually very important. On Shukla Paksha Ashtami, Durgashtami is observed and on Krishna Paksha Astami Kalashtami is observed.
