Ashlesha Bali Puja or Aslesha Bali pooja is one of the important Kaalasarpa dosha pujas performed at Kukke Subramanya temple near Mangalore in Karnataka. Lord Subramanya is known as the protector from Kaalasarpa dosha and Kuja dosha. Kukke Sri Kshetra temple is the most popular for Sarpadosha puja. Aslesha Bali puja is performed on Aslesha nakshatra in each month. It is believed that if this puja is performed on other days it has no power.
Aslesha Bali puja in Kukke Subramaya temple will be performed in two shifts – 7 am and 9.15 am. Those who want to perform this puja need to report for sankalpa with Purohita inside the temple either at 7 am or 9.15 am. After the completion of Homa Poornahuthi Puja, devotees will get prasadam. Devotees believe Shravana masa, Karthika masa, and Margashira masa are the most auspicious months to perform Aslesha bali puja at Kukke temple.
For Kaalasarpadosha and other problems etc., Seva fee Rs 400-00.On all days except Ekadashi and fasting days.The seva is performed in two shifts i.e., 7-00A.M.& 9.15 A.M. obtaining seva receipt the devotees should report for Sankalpa with Prohitha inside the Temple either at 7-00 A.M. or 9.30 A.M. On completion of Homa poornahuthi Pooja, prasadam will be delivered in the inner quadrangle itself. Exclusively for Sarpa Hathyadosha relief.
Temple provides food arrangements to a limited member of four including Karthru devotee. Lodging/ Room services are on payment. On the commencing day after taking bath at holy Kumaradhara River the devotees should be present at Adisubrahmanya Temple before 8-30 A.M obtaining the Seva receipt.
Seva devotees after bath in the holy Kumaradhara and Darshana of Lord subramanya should report at 8.30 a.m. on the booked date at Adisbrahmanya sarpasmskara hall in the venue reserved for them.
Follow the instruction given by the Purohitha regarding rituals.
Partake forenoon PRASADA at 12.30 p.m. and evening Tiffin at 6 p.m. in the Adi Subrahmanya Hall. Night meals are forbidden.
Food and Tiffin arrangements are limited to 4 people per one Seva.
Next day morning after bath report at the very same venue at 6.00 a.m. and have Tiffin at 8.30 a.m. in the Adi Subrahmanya Hall.
Report at NAGAPRATHISHTA MANTAPA in the outer quadrangle of the K.S.S. Temple after Pradakshina. Soon after midday MAHAPOOJA the Archaka concerned will conduct Nagaprathishta Partake PRASADAM.
Seva fee of Rs.2500 is inclusive of Dana Dakshina to Purohitha, Kriya Karthru, Brahmacharis and Godana. Hence if anybody insists or demands for extra payments complaint can be logged at temple office.
Temple entry is forbidden on the first day of the Seva.
