Ashada Amavasya, the No Moon day in Ashada mahina or Ashad month, is known as auspicious for Pitru Tharpan and Pinda Pradhan. In 2014, Ashada Amavasya date is June 27 as per North Indian Hindi calendars. As per Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati and Telugu calendars, Ashad Amavasya 2014 date is July 26.
