Ashada Amavasya 2015, Amavasya in Ashada Mahina

Ashada Amavasya, the No Moon day in Ashada mahina or Ashad month, is known as auspicious for Pitru Tharpan and Pinda Pradhan. In 2015, Ashada Amavasya date is July 15 as per North Indian Hindi calendars. As per Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati and Telugu calendars, Ashad Amavasya 2015 date is August 14.

Deep Puja or Deepa Pooja is the main ritual of Ashad Amavasya in some North Indian states.

In Andhra Pradesh, Ashada Amavasya is celebrated as Chukkala Amavasya. Gauri Puja is the main ritual of Chukkala Amavasya.

In Karnataka, Bheemana Amavasya or Bhima Amavasy (Pathi Sanjivini Vrata / Jyotir Bheemeswara Vrata) is observed on Ashada Amavasi by married women for better health and longer life of their husband.

Gatari Amavasya vrat is observed in Maharashtra on Ashadi Amavasya which welcomes Shravan mahina in grand manner.

In 2014, Ashada Amavasya date was June 27 as per North Indian Hindi calendars. As per Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati and Telugu calendars, Ashad Amavasya 2014 date was July 26.

In 2013, Ashada Amavasya date is July 8 as per North Indian Hindi calendars. As per Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati and Telugu calendars, Ashad Amavasya 2013 date is August 6.

In 2012, Ashada Amavasya date was June 19 as per North Indian Hindi calendars. As per Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati and Telugu calendars, Ashad Amavasya 2012 date was July 19.
