Sri Mahalakshmi Devi is the 7th day Alankaram in Vijayawada Dasara Navaratri 2016, 7 October – Maha Saptami. During Dasara Sharan Navaratri of Kanakadurga Temple, each day one of the forms of Goddess Durga is worshipped. Due to Vriddhi Tithi in 2016, this day is celebrated as Durga Sashti.
On seventh day this year, Kanakadurga Mata is decorated in the form of Sri Mahalakshmi Devi and worshipped. This Sashti Navratri falls on Ashwayuja Shukla Paksha Sashti tithi.
Mahalakshmi Devi is the Goddess of wealth and prosperity. Worshipping Mata Lakshmi gets devotees the wealth, prosperity and wellness.
