In order to ease the rush of passengers during Mahakumbh Mela 2013 at Allahabad, Indian Railways will run 750 special trains and arrange for 800 coaches. As per the estimation of NCR, Allahabad division, about 15 lakhs addional pilgrims visit the city through trains during Kumbh Mela. This would be in addition to 20 lakh regular passengers who will visit the city.
In view of heavy rush of passengers during the ongoing Maha Kumbh, railway administration has decided for plying of special trains. This includes one special train between Allahabad and Delhi (Anand Vihar terminal) and other special train between Allahabad and Samalkot.
Train number 04117/04118 will run between Allahabad and Anand Vihar Terminal. This train will depart from Allahabad at 11:45 pm and arrive at Fatehpur at 1:02 am, Kanpur 2:40 am, Etawah 4:22 am, Shikohabad at 5:00 am, Firozabad 5:20 am, Tundla 5:55 am, Aligarh 6:53 am, Khurja 7:33 am, Ghaziabad at 8:55 am and finally terminate at Anand Vihar terminal at 9:45 am.
During the return journey, the train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:30 am and reach Ghaziabad at 12:13 pm, Khurja 1:02 pm, Aligarh 1:35 pm, Tundla 2:40 pm, Firozabad 3:06 pm, Shikohabad 3:23 pm, Etawah at 4:06 pm, Kanpur 6:15 pm, Fatehpur at 7:42 pm and finally terminate at Allahabad at 10:15 pm. The train will depart from Allahabad on February 17 and 18 and from Anand Vihar terminal on February 18 and 19. The train will comprise of one AC-II tier, one AC-III tier, twelve sleeper and four general coaches.
Train number 07239/07240 will run between Allahabad and Samalkot. This train will depart from Samalkot at 6:45 am and arrive at Rajamundri at 8:05 am, Bhimavaram Town 9:38 am, Vijaywada 12:30 pm, Khammam 2:02 pm, Warrangal 3:35 pm, Peddapalli 4:28 pm, Ramgundam 4:43 pm, Ballarshah 7:00 pm, Nagpur 10:15 pm, Itarsi 4:55 am, Jabalpur 9:20 am, Katni 11:05 am, Satna 1:30 pm, Manikpur at 3:15 pm and finally terminate at Allahabad at 5:05 pm.
During the return journey, the train will depart from Allahabad at 6:40 pm and arrive at Manikpur at 8:35 pm, Satna 10:10 pm, Katni 11:50 pm, Jabalpur 1:10 am, Itarsi 4;55 am, Nagpur at 1:00 pm, Ballarshah 5:00 pm, Ramgundam at 7:09 pm, Warrangal at 10:12 pm, Khammam at 9:45 pm, Vijaywada 11:30 pm, Bhimavaram Town 2:13 am, Rajamundri at 4:20 am and finally terminate at Samalkot at 4:45 am. The train will depart from Samalkot on February 19 and from Allahabad on February 20. This train will comprise one AC First Class, one AC-II tier, one AC-III tier, 12 sleeper and two general coaches.
The Lucknow division of Northern Railways has planned special trains on the occasion of ‘Mauni Amavasaya’ and ‘Basant Panchami’ during Kumbh Mela for Prayag on February 7, 8 and 9.
Train 04002/04001 will run between Allahabad and New Delhi from New Delhi on February 12 and 14 .
Another special train, 04014/04013, will run between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Allahabad.
The special train 04004/04003 will depart from Delhi on February 15 at 7.40pm to reach Allahabad at 4.20am.
The special trains 04218/04220/04226 will originate from Ayodhya, 04232/04236/04238 from Faizabad, 04212/04214 from Akbarpur and 04250 will originate from Lucknow. All the return trains will start from Prayag ghat on February 10, 11 and 12.
On the other hand, railways will run four pairs of special trains – 04001/04002, 04003/04004 and 04007/04008 between New Delhi-Allahabad and 04005/04006 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Allahabad AC special.
Train number 04002/04003 Allahabad-New Delhi Kumbh special train will run from Delhi on February 7 and from Allahabad on February 8. This train will have three second class AC coaches, eight third class AC classes and seven sleeper coaches.
Train number 04004/04003 New Delhi-Allahabad Kumbh Mela special train will depart from Delhi on February 8 and from Allahabad on February 9. This train will have one AC second class coach, one AC third class coach and eight sleeper coaches.
Train number 04006/04005 Delhi Sarairohilla-Allahabad Kumbh Mela special train will depart from Delhi on February 9 and from Allahabad on February 10. This train will have 18 AC third class coaches.
Train number 04008/04009 New Delhi-Allahabad Kumbh Mela Special Train will leave Delhi on February 10 and Allahabad on February 11. This train will have three second AC and eight third AC coaches. It will have seven sleeper coaches.
All the four sets of trains will pass through Kanpur Central railway station and benefit passengers from the industrial city.
Train 04002 New Delhi-Allahabad Kumbh Mela special will depart from New Delhi on Thursday (February 7) at 10.35 p.m. to reach Allahabad at 06.10 a.m. the next day. While in the return direction, the 04001 will depart from Allahabad on February 8 at 03.15 p.m. to reach New Delhi at 11.00 p.m. the same day. The train will comprise AC-2 tier, AC 3-tier, second sleeper and general class cum luggage van coaches. The train will stop at Ghaziabad and Kanpur in both the directions.
Another special train – 04003/04003 – will depart from New Delhi on February 8 at 07.40 p.m. to reach Allahabad at 04.20 a.m. the next day. On return, the 04003 will depart from Allahabad on February 9 at 01.10 p.m. to reach New Delhi at 11.00 p.m. the same day. It will comprise AC-2 tier, AC 3-tier, second sleeper and general class cum luggage van coaches. The train will stop at Ghaziabad and Kanpur.
The third special train between Delhi Sarai Rohilla and Allahabad-04005/04006-will depart from Delhi Sarai Rohilla on February 9 at 10.00 p.m. to reach Allahabad at 06.10 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 04005 will depart from Allahabad on February 10 at 03.15 p.m. to reach Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 11.40 p.m. the same day. The train will consist of AC 3-tier and AC chair car coaches. The train will stop at New Delhi, Ghaziabad and Kanpur stations.
The special train-04007/04008-between New Delhi and Allahabad will depart from New Delhi on February 10 at 07.40 p.m. to reach Allahabad at 04.20 a.m. the next day. While in the return direction, the 04007 will depart from Allahabad on February 11 at 03.15 p.m. to reach New Delhi at 11.00 p.m. the same day with AC-2 tier, AC 3-tier, second sleeper and general class cum luggage van coaches. It will stop at Ghaziabad and Kanpur.
In view of Kumbh Mela, various special trains will be plied in all the directions. In this connection, a special train will be plied between Allahabad and Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal).
Train number 04117/04118 will ply between Allahabad and Anand Vihar Terminal. This train will depart from Allahabad at 11:45pm and reach Fatehpur at 1:02am, Kanpur at 2:40am, Etawah at 4:22am, Shikohabad at 5am, Firozabad at 5:20am, Tundla at 5:55am, Aligarh at 6:53am, Khurja at 7:33am, Ghaziabad at 8:55am and terminate at Anand Vihar Terminal at 9:45am.
During the return journey, the train will depart from Anand Vihar terminal at 11:30am and reach Ghaziabad at 12:13pm, Khurja at 1:02pm, Aligarh at 1:35pm, Tundla at 2:40pm, Firozabad at 3:06pm, Shikohabad at 3:23pm, Etawah at 4:06pm, Kanpur at 6:15pm, Fatehpur at 7:42pm and terminate at Allahabad at 10:15pm.
The train will comprise four general, 12 sleeper, one AC-II tier and one AC-III tier coaches and two SLR coaches.
The train will run on important bathing days. From the Allahabad end, this train will run on January 14 and 27, and February 10, 11, 15, 16 and 25. From Delhi end ( Anand Vihar Terminal) this train will run on January 15 and 28, and February 11, 12, 16, 17 and 26.
Meanwhile, various zonal railways will ply special trains on the main bathing days of Kumbh. In this connection, West Central Railway will run a special train between Naini and Jabalpur.
Train numbers 01705/01706 will run between Naini and Jabalpur. The train will depart from Naini at 2:15pm and reach Manikpur at 3:55pm, Satna at 5:45pm, Maihar at 6:30pm, Jhukehi at 7:18pm, Katni at 8pm, Sihora Road at 8:55pm and terminate at Jabalpur at 9:35pm. During the return journey, the train will depart from Jabalpur at 6am and reach Sihora Road at 6:32am, Katni at 7:15am, Jhukehi at 7:40am, Maihar at 8:38am, Satna at 9:25am, Manikpur at 11:20am and terminate at Naini at 1:20pm.
The train will depart from Jabalpur end on January 13, 14, 26, 27 and 28, and February 9,10,11,16,17, 24 and 25 while it will leave from Naini end on January 13, 14, 26, 27 and 28, and February 9,10,11,16,17,24 and 25. The train will undertake 24 trips in up and down directions. The train will comprise four general, 11 sleeper, one AC-II tier and three AC-III tier coaches.
South East Central Railway will run a special train from Bilaspur to Allahabad on January 9, 2013, for Maha Kumbh Mela of Prayag Sangam.
The special train number 08297, to have single trip only, will leave Bilaspur at 14.20 hours and reach Pendra Road at 15.52-15.54 hours, Anuppur at 16.45-16.50 hours, Shahdol at 17.33-17.35, Katni at 20.15-20.20 hours, Satna at 21.40-21.50 hours, Manikpur at 23.20-23.25 hours, and reach Allahabad at 3.00 am on Thursday.
The train will have 2 SLR and 18 general coaches. Notably, the first of the five ‘shahi snan’ of the Mahakumbh 2013 is slated for January 14.
According to an SECR release, for some unavoidable reasons operation of train number 15612 Kamakhya-Kurla Karmabhoomi Express leaving Kamakhya in Assam on January 5 has been suspended. Hence, train number 15611 Kurla-Kamakhya Karmabhoomi Express scheduled to leave Kurla on January 9 will also remain suspended.
Western Railways will run a special train to Allahabad from Mumbai Bandra Terminus in order to clear the extra rush of pilgrims for Maha Kumbh Mela 2013.
Train No 09011 Bandra Terminus – Allahabad Special train will depart from Bandra Terminus at 4.55 pm on January 7, 2013 (Monday). The special train will reach Allahabad at 3.25 am on January 9, 2013 (Wednesday).
The train will have Second Class Sleeper and Second Class General coaches.
The train will halt at Borivali, Boisar, Vapi, Valsad, Udhana, Vyara, Nandurbar, Amalner, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna and Manikpiur stations. The booking for the train is currently open.
According to estimates, around three crore devotees are expected to visit Allahabad on Mauni Amawasya (February 10).
Around 133 additional booking, enquiry and reservation counters will be opened in Allahabad, Naini, Sangam, Prayag and Vindhyachal.
The 800 additional coaches will make upto 35 rakes. Apart from 750 special trains, the existing trains will be augmented with additional coaches. Additional stoppages will be given to many long distance trains at Allahabad, Vidnhyachal and Naini station, Rao said.
NCR is also taking steps for passenger amenities. In this connection, surface improvement of platform numbers 4 and 6 have been done and stairs of foot overbridge (FOB) have been repaired. A new FOB at Smith Road has been constructed and additional booking counters, including additional circulating area covering Hathi Nala, have been provided. In addition, two new escalators would be installed at Allahabad junction.
Additional approach roads leading to Civil Lines side of Allahabad junction are being provided by widening of fourth, fifth and sixth avenue of Traffic colony. The work will be completed by November 12. Six high mast for improving illumination levels at Allahabad and Naini junction have been planned.
For catering to large number of pilgrims, about nine temporary enclosures have been planned. Four temporary enclosures would be opened at city side of Allahabad railway junction while two temporary enclosures would be opened at Civil Lines side of the junction. Three temporary enclosures would be set up at Naini junction.
About 133 additional booking counters/ PRS/enquiry counters would be opened at Allahabad, Naini, Sangam and Vidhyachal. At Sangam, 10 booking counters, two reservation counters and two enquiry counters will be set up.
The authorities of North Central Railways (NCR) have introduced special trains in view of the Kumbh Mela commencing from January 14.
Five such trains would ply between Kanpur and Allahabad. Train numbers 54151/54152, 01101/01102, 01103/01104 and 01105/01106 Allahabad-Kanpur Mela Special trains will be on tracks from January 13 to January 15 during Makar Sakranti, January 26 to January 28 and February 24 to 26 on Maghi Purnima. They will also run between the two stations on March 10 and 11 on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. These trains will ply from February 9 to 17 between the two railway stations and will make a halt at Fatehpur.
Another Mela Special express train launched between Allahabad and Anand Vihar terminus is train number 04117/04118. This train will run on January 14, 27, February 10, 11, 15 and 16. It will halt at Fatehpur, Kanpur Central, Etawah, Firozabad, Tundala, Aligarh, Khurja and Ghaziabad.
Kumbh special trains will also run for places like Chunar, Varanasi, Jhansi, Kanpur and Chitrakoot Dham on different dates.
While 01202/01201, 01204/01203, 01206/01205 will take halt at Naini Junction, Vidhyanchal, Mirzapur and Chunar railways stations, trains 01208/01207 and 54104/54103 will have scheduled stoppages at Naini, Vidhyanchal, Mirzapur, Chunar, Mughalsarai and Varanasi railway stations. Besides, 01302/01301 and 01304/01303 Naini-Jhansi-Naini Mail special train will halt at Naini, Manikpur, Chitrakoot Dham, Banda and Jhansi railway station. 01306/01305 Naini-Kanpur Central-Naini Mela Special train will halt at Naini, Manikpur, Chitrakoot Dham, Banda, Hamirpur and Kanpur Central railway stations. Train number 01390 will run between Allahabad and Manikpur railway stations via Naini junction.
The NCR authorities have also introduced Kumbh special trains between Naini junction and Jabalpur railway stations. Train 01716/01715 will run on January 14, 15, 27 and 28, February 10, 11, 15, 16, 25, 26 and 27 and on March 10 and 11. Express train 01706/01705 will run on January 13, 14, 26, 27 and 28, February 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, 24 and 25 and on March 10 and 11. These trains will pass through Manikpur, Satna, Katni railway stations to reach Jabalpur.
From Naini, a train for Bina will also run on January 14 and 27. This train will bear train number 01602/01601. Similarly, train number 01604/01603 will be on tracks on February 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 24, 25 and 26. Sandeep Mathur, Chief Public Relations Officer, NCR informed that these trains have been introduced to facilitate passengers in reaching Allahabad easily and back to their destination during Kumbh Mela.
The Central Railway has started special trains from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), Kurla, to Allahabad via Nashik and back from Friday for pilgrims to visit the ongoing Kumbhmela in Allahabad.
The booking for 01005 / 06 special trains to and from Allahabad have been started and the first train leaves LTT on Friday. The train is scheduled to arrive at Nashik at 5.20 pm.
The train will have eight IInd class sleeper coaches, two III tier air-conditioned coaches, one II-tier air-conditioned coach and five general class compartments. The bookings can be done at the passenger’s reservation system and the electronic reservation system, the railway official said citing the circular.
The train to Allahabad leaves LTT at 1.20 noon, reaches Nashik at 5.20 pm, Manmad at 6.25 pm and reaches Allahabad on next day at 12.55 noon. The train will travel on January 25, February 8, February 13 and February 23.
The train however leaves Allahabad on two different timings. On January 27 and February 25 the 01006 train will leave Allahabad at 10.35 am and reach Manmad at 6.50 am and Nashik at 8.10 am.
On February 9 and February 14, the train will leave Allahabad at 5.45 pm to reach Manmad at noon and Nashik at 1 pm. The return journey is expected to take 24 hours, the official said.
Train number 09313/09314 will run between Allahabad and Indore. This train will leave Allahabad at 2:50 pm and reach Manikpur at 5:20 pm, Satna at 6:40 pm, Maihar at 7:20 pm, Katni at 8:25 pm, Damoh at 10:20 pm, Saugor at 11:25 pm, Bina at 1:00 pm, Bhopal at 2:55 am, Shujalpur at 4:20 am, Ujjain at 5:55 am, Dewas at 7:05 am and finally stop at Indore at 5:20 pm. During the return journey, this train will leave Indore at 5:20 pm and arrive at Dewas at 5:56 pm, Ujjain at 7:20 pm, Shujalpur at 9:34 pm, Bhopal at 11:35 pm, Bina at 1:55 am, Saugor at 3:35 am, Damoh at 5:00 am, Katni at 6:50 am, Maihar at 8:00 am, Satna at 8:35 am, Manikpur at 11:05 am and finally terminate at Allahabad at 1:05 pm.
The train will leave Indore on January 13 and 24 and will start from Allahabad on January 14 and 24. It will comprise 12 sleeper, two AC-III tier, one AC-II tier and four general coaches.
Train number 1005/1006 will run between Allahabad and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). The train will leave Allahabad on February 14 at 5:45 pm, Manikpur at 8:08 pm, Satna at 10:10 pm, Katni at 10:45 pm, Jabalpur at 11:20 pm, Narsinghpur at 1:30 am, Pipariya at 3:00 am, Itarsi at 4:20 am, Khandwa at 7:25 am, Bhusawal at 9:25 am, Manmad at 12:00 pm, Igatpuri at 3:00 pm, Kalyan at 5:05 pm and finally terminate at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 5:45 pm. The train will depart from LTT at 1:20 pm and reach Kalyan at 1:57 pm, Igatpuri at 4:15 pm, Nasik at 5:20 pm, Manmad at 6:25 pm, Bhusawal at 8:50 pm, Khandwa at 10:55 pm, Itarsi at 1:50 am Pipariya at 3am, Narsinghpur at 4:25 am, Jabalpur at 6:20 am, Katni at 7:45 am, Satna at 9:10 am, Manikpur at 9:45 am and terminate at Allahabad at 12:55 pm.

The railway administration has decided to ply more special trains. These include one train between Allahabad and Howrah and other train between Allahabad and Kamakhya.
Train number 04120/04119 will ply between Allahabad and Howrah. This train will depart from Allahabad at 8:15 pm and arrive at Vindhyachal at 9:22 pm, Mirzapur at 9:43 pm, Mughalsarai at 11:50 pm, Ara at 2:00 pm, Patna at 3:40 pm, Mokama at 5:38 pm, Jasidih at 9:14 am, Asansol at 11:15 pm, Durgapur at 11:52 pm and finally terminate at Howrah at 4:15 pm. During the return journey, the train will depart from Howrah at 8:20 pm, Durgapur at 11:07 pm, Asansol at 11:52 pm, Jasidih at 1:42 am, Mokama at 5:34 am, Patna at 8:15 pm, Ara at 9:48 am, Mughalsarai at 1:20 pm, Mirzapur at 2:45 pm, Vindhyachal at 3:00 pm and finally terminate at Allahabad at 4:45 pm.
This train will leave from Allahabad end on February 10 and 15 and from Howrah end on February 11 and 16. This train will comprise of 13 sleeper and four general class coaches.
Train number 05620 will ply between Kamakhya and Allahabad. Secunderabad Patna Superfast Express connects Secunderabad / Hyderabad with Allahabad Kumbh Mela. This Train number 12791/12792 departs at 10.00 hrs at Secunderabad Station and arrives Allahabad at 10.55 the next day. This train halts at Kazipet Junction, Ramagundam, Manchiryal, Bellampalli, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Balharshah Junction, Chandrapur, Sewagram Junction, Nagpur Junction, Katol, Betul, Ghoradongri, Itarsi Junction, Jabalpur Junction, Katni Junction, Satna Junction, Allahabad Junction, Allahabad City, Gyanpur Road, Varanasi Junction, Mughal Sarai Junction, Dildarnagar Junction and Baxar.
Here is the list of special trains from Visakhapatnam to Allahabad for Kumbh Mela 2013. It is to note that Kumbh Mela has begun on January 14 and will end on March 10.
Train no. 08575 would start from Vishakhapatnam at 9.30 am on January 26 and reach Raipur at 7.55 pm, Bilaspur at 10.20 pm and Allahabad at 9.30 am on January 27.This train will run on January 26 and 31, and February 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21 and 25.
For passengers returning from Allahabad, train no. 08576 would start at 10 pm on January 27 and would reach Bilaspur at 12.20 am and Raipur at 2.20 pm on January 28. This train will run on January 27 and February 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22 and 26.
It will have two SLR coaches, four general coaches, 8 sleeper coaches, one AC III tier and AC II tier coach each.
Railway board has also announced that as per the directives of railway ministry, the travel fare would be increased from January 22. The passengers, who had booked the ticket in advance, would have to pay the difference to the TTI in the train, or they can also pay the amount at the railway station office.
To cater to Maha Kumbh Mela pilgrims, the South Central Railway will run 12 special trains from Hyderabad and Nanded to Allahabad (Prayag).

This train will depart from Nanded at 11:20 am and reach Purna at 11:50 am, Purbahnai at 12:30 pm, Jalna at 2:18 pm, Aurangabad at 4:00 pm, Lasur at 4:40 pm, Rotegaon at 5:20 pm, Manmad at 7:00 pm, Bhusawal at 9:40 pm, Khandwa at 00:15 am, Itarsi at 3:30 am, Pipariya at 4:50 am, Narsinghpur at 5:50 am, Jabalpur at 7:40 am, Katni at 9:40 am, Maihar at 10:30 am, Satna at 11:00 am, Manikpur at 1:10 pm and finally terminate at Allahabad at 3:10 pm. During the return journey, the train will depart from Allahabad at 4:15 pm and arrive at Manikpur at 5:55 pm, Satna at 7:30 pm, Maihar at 8:08 pm, Katni at 9:00 pm, Jabalpur at 10:20 pm, Narsinghpur at 11:35 pm, Pipariya at 00:50 am, Itarsi at 2:20 am, Khandwa at 4:55 am, Bhusawal at 6:50 am, Manmad at 9:40 am, Rotegaon at 11:48 am, Aurangabad at 12:45 pm, Jalna at 2:10 pm, Parbahnai at 3:40 pm, Purna at 4:10 pm and finally terminate at Nanded at 5:30 pm.
This special train will depart from Nanded end on February 6 and 20 and from Allahabad end on February 7 and 21. This train will comprise of one AC-II tier, one AC-III tier, nine sleeper and two general class coaches.
Train number 07511/07512 will also ply between Nanded and Allahabad. This special train will depart from Nanded at 11:00 am and arrive at Purna at 11:35 am, Washim at 2:00 pm, Akola at 4:00 pm, Khandwa at 00:15 am, Itarsi at 3;30 pm, Pipariya at 4:50 pm, Narsinghpur at 5:50 am, Jabalpur at 7:40 am, Katni at 9:40 am, Maihar at 10:30 am, Satna at 11:00 am, Manikpur at 1:10 pm and finally terminate at Allahabad at 3:10 pm. During the return journey, the train will depart from Allahabad at 4:15 pm and after traversing the above route will finally terminate at Nanded next day at 2:45 pm. This train will depart from Nanded end on February 13 and from Allahabad end on February 14. This train will comprise of one AC-II tier, one AC-III tier, nine sleeper and two general coaches.
The Nanded-Allahabad special (No. 07513) will leave Nanded at 11.20 am on February 6 and 20 (Wednesdays) and arrive at Allahabad at 3.10 pm on the next day.
Train 07514 Allahabad- Nanded special will depart from Allahabad at 4.15 pm on Feb 7 and 21 (Thursdays) and arrive at Nanded at 5.30 pm the next day.
Nanded-Allahabad special (No.07511) will leave Nanded at 11 am on Feb 13 and reach Allahabad at 3.10 pm on the next day.
The 07512 Allahabad-Nanded special will depart from Allahabad at 4.15 pm on Feb 14 (Thursday) and arrive at Nanded at 2.45 pm next day.
Mela special trains
General manager of NCR Alok Johri further said that various mela special trains will serve the pilgrims. For this, about 800 railway coaches have been especially allocated. About 750 mela special trains would run during Kumbh Mela, he said and the time-table of these trains has been issued.
Most of the regular trains have been given additional stoppages at the stations of Allahabad, Naini, Chheoki, Vindhyachal, Etawa and other stations during the Mela period, he informed. Further, additional coaches are also being provided in various trains. Arrangements for electric and diesel engines for the mela specials is also being made, he said.
Facilities at Allahabad junction
At Allahabad junction, 63 booking counters, 7 enquiry centers, 57 lavatories, 96 toilets, 116 water taps, 6 primary health centres, 1 lost and found centre, and cloak room have been set up in view of the mega congregation. Circulating area has also been improved.
Facilities at Naini junction
At Naini junction, a new foot overbridge has been set up. About 38 booking counters, 6 enquiry offices, 32 lavatories, 57 toilets, 54 water taps, 3 primary health centres, and a lost and found centre have also come up. Besides this, the length of existing platforms has been increased.
Vindhyachal station, about 4 booking counters, 1 enquiry counter, 4 lavatories, 4 toilets, 10 water taps, 1 cloak room and one scouts and guides hut has been set up to facilitate the passengers.
Sangam area done up: At Sangam area, 10 booking counters, 2 PRS counters, 2 enquiry counters, 12 drinking taps, and toilets have been set up. In addition to this, one primary health centre and 1 scouts and guides hut is also being installed.
