Siddhidatri – Goddess Siddhidatri Navadurga

siddhidatriSiddhidatri is the ninth and the last form of Navadurga Goddesses. She is worshipped on the last day, Mahanavami, of Durga Navratri. In 2009, Siddhidatri Pooja date is September 27. Siddhidatri Mata gives her devotees all types of occult energies, which are named as ‘Ashtasiddhi’. As per the Markandeya Purana, these Ashtasiddhis are – Anima, Mahima, Garima, Laghima, Prapthi, Prakamya, Isithwa and Vasithwa.

Lord Shiva has granted Ashtasiddhis from Siddhidatri by worshipping her with utmost dedication. That is why Shiva became Ardhanarishwara (accommodated the Goddess in half of his body).
