Kushmanda Navdurga – Dhyana Mantra and Spiritual importance

Kushmanda Navdurga is the fourth aspect of Navadurga Goddesses worshipped during Durga Navratri pooja. In 2009, the date of Goddess Kushmanda pooja is September 22.

Spiritual importance of Maa Kushmanda:

Kushmanda Devi is worshipped on the fourth day of Navratra pooja. On this day, Yogis or other dedicated devotees keep their mind in Anahata Chakra. Kushmanda represents Anahata Chakra in spiritual practice. Kushmanda pooja during Durga Navratri increases one’s health and strength.

Dhyana Mantra of Goddess Kushmanda:

Suraa sampoorna kalasham rudhiraplu thwamevacha

Dadhanaa hasthapadmabhyam Kushmanda shubhadaasthu may

The above is the Mantram or stotram dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda. Chanting of this sloka on fourth day (Kushmanda puja day) during Durga Navratri gives tremendous pleasure to devotees.
