Ganapati idol in Visakhapatnam – Tallest Eco-friendly Ganesh idol

58 feet Ganesh idol in Vizag GajuwakaGanapati idol installed in Visakhapatnam (Vizag) by the Gajuwaka Sampath Vinayaka Youth Association, the 58-foot-high Ganesha idol is the tallest Ganesh idol in India for Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrations during the year 2009. Till now, Khairtabad Ganapati idol is the largest Ganesh statue. Now the Ganapati Vigraham invoked in Vizag has this credit. The greatest feature of the idol is – the workers used natural and hearbal colours and paints to make the idol eco-friendly.

The making of the tallest Eco-friendly Ganesh idol in Vizag:

 Still, Khairtabad Ganesh idol holds the credit of being the biggest idol in breadth and the weight. 20 workers from West Bengal worked 45 days for the making of the tallest Ganesh idol at Gajuwaka in Vizag. To make the tallest Vinayaka idol, the workers used eco-friendly water based colurs brought from Kolkata.

 To visit the idol and pray to the Lord Ganesha, darshan will be begun from Vinayaka Chavithi festival day, August 23, Sunday in 2009. The organizers have every setup to conduct cultural programs. The tallest Ganesh idol of Vizag will be dissolved on August 31 at the same place.
