Sampoorna Surya Grahan or the Total Solar Eclipse is visible in few cities of India on July 22 in 2009. This is the longest Total Solar Eclipse in India. This Purna Surya Grahan is visible in some of the North Indian cities like Patna, Bhopal, Ujjain, Darjeeling, Surat, Varanasi, Vadodara, Indore, Gaya etc. In North Indian states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal, this eclipse may appear as Total Solar Eclipse.

Here are the beginning time and the exact time and the times of conclusion of the Solar Eclipse in some of the North Indian cities:

Patna (Bihar) – Surya Grahan starts at 5.30 a.m.  Exact time of Total Solar Eclipse is 6.26 a.m. and the eclipse ends at 7.30 a.m. In Gaya and Ujjain, Total Solar Eclipse may occur at the Patna’s time.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) – Surya Grahan starts at 5.30 a.m.  Exact time of Total Solar Eclipse is 6.23 a.m. and the eclipse concludes at 7.30 a.m.

Surat (Gujarat) – Surya Grahan starts at 5.30 a.m.  Exact time of Total Solar Eclipse is 6.22 a.m. and the eclipse ends at 7.20 a.m.

Vadodara (Baroda – Gujarat) – Surya Grahan starts at 5.30 a.m.  Exact time of Total Solar Eclipse is 6.23 a.m. and the eclipse ends at 7.23 a.m.

Varanasi (Kasi – Uttar Pradesh) – Surya Grahan starts at 5.30 a.m.  Exact time of Total Solar Eclipse is 6.25 a.m. and the eclipse concludes at 7.30 a.m.

Darjeeling (West Bengal) – Surya Grahan begins at 5.29 a.m.  Exact time of Total Solar Eclipse is 6.28 a.m. and the eclipse ends at 7.35 a.m.
