Mauna Panchami vrat is observed on Sawan Panchami day. In 2009, the date of Mouna Panchami to observe Mauna Panchami is july 12, Sunday. Mauna Panchami puja is widely observed in North India, especially during Shrabani Mela, held at Deoghar Bhaidyanath Dham. Moun means quietness or silence.
