Shravana Masam – Shravan Month in 2009

Shravana Masam (Shravan month) is very auspicious Hindu month. Each and everyday during the Shravana Mas has some significance. Especially, Shravan Somvar (Mondays in Shravan month) are most auspicious which are solely dedicated to Lord Shiva. On Shravan Shukravar (Fridays in Shravana masa), women worship Goddess Mahalakshmi. Shravan month is the first month of auspicious Chaturmasa Puja.

When Shravana Mas begins and ends in 2009?
As per the traditional North Indian Hindu calendar, Shravan mas starts on July 8, Wednesday and ends on August 6, Thursday. According to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Maharashtra calendars Shravana masam starts on July 23, Thursday and ends on August 20, Thursday.
