What is Sri Rama Navami?
Sri Ram Navami is the festival to celebrate the birthday of Lord Shri Ram. Lord Shri Ram, the seventh incarnation of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu. When the evil forces in the world were grown, to destroy and to establish dharma, Lord Maha Vishnu incarnated as Lord Sri Ramachandra. Lord Sri Ram was born to King Dasaratha and Kausalya.

When is Sri Rama Navami celebrated?
Sri Rama Navami festival is celebrated on the ninth day of the Hindu month of Chaitra (Chaitra Shudda Navami). The day of Shri Rama Navami is the final day of the nine-day celebrations of Chaitra Navratri or Vasanta Navratri.

According to Hindu religious history, Sri Rama avatar is the most perfect incarnation of the Supreme Lord, Sri Maha Vishnu. Sri Rama incarnation is the most favorite avatar for Hindus. Sri Ramachandra’s respect and devotion to his parents especially to his father, his love and affection towards his brothers, his preference and love to his wife, his kind blessing to his people and devotees list him on the top.

The chanting of Lord Sri Ram removes all his devotee’s sins and brings prosperity to them. Lord Shri Rama fulfills the wishes and desires of his devotees. He is the King and the Lord of the whole universe.
